You do not need a doctor’s prescription to start your physiotherapy program. However, some insurance plans do require a prescription for physiotherapy or massage therapy coverage. We can assist you to find out what your plan requires when you book an appointment at the clinic.
Patients may have coverage for physiotherapy services through private insurance, the Workers Compensation Board (WCB), or Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI). Massage therapy may be covered through a private insurance plan.

You may have coverage for physiotherapy, massage therapy, or acupuncture services in our Winnipeg clinic through an employer or individual insurance plan. We offer direct billing to most private insurers in Winnipeg.
WCB coverage for physiotherapy and acupuncture is available to those who sustain workplace injuries. We do direct billing with all Manitoba WCB claims. The WCB does not cover massage therapy services.
MPI offers physiotherapy and acupuncture coverage to those who have been injured in a motor vehicle accident in Manitoba. We do direct billing with all MPI claims. MPI does not cover massage therapy services.
